Our Team

Our core team of eight llamas is based in the centre of Sheffield.

Founder Stephen Elliott started Llama Digital in 2003 after having had a senior position at a leading international web agency where he led technical teams on projects for the likes of Boots, Citroen and Mazda.

We’re never happier than when tackling some knotty web challenge armed with a cup of tea and a biscuit. We really excel when it comes to solving complex technical challenges. This makes us particularly suitable for organisations looking for a bespoke digital solution to a business problem, or for startups looking to establish an online business. Test-Driven Development

If you are building a complex web application then incorporating tests into the software as it is being built is a sound way of ensuring that code that worked in week 1 still works in week 25. Every time a new version of the application is released all the tests are automatically run to check they all still pass.

Agile and Lean

We’re big fans of Agile development. This is an iterative and incremental approach to software development which allows for flexibility and prioritisation. It’s a great approach that allows you to get more out of your budget and builds in the ability to adapt the solution as the project progresses.

Agile development fits well with the principles of Lean Startup which is a method for building new products and services. The Lean philosophy is to iterate quickly and frequently, testing constantly with real customers in order to build something that users will actually want – and to do so as efficiently as possible.
